In a related story, Abbott's daughter Megan Abbott admits that her novels were actually ghosted by the shade of Virginia Andrews (better known while alive as V.C. Andrews). "It was a real change in direction for Andrews. Dying can do that to your priorities. You want to get out of your rut (or grave, or urn...)..."
